Cadogan hotel

75 Sloane Street, London SW1X 9SG

Our Review

The fact that the Cadogan was once a hideaway for playwright Oscar Wilde shows just what a historic property it is. Guests love its intimate atmosphere and lovely leafy surroundings.

The elegant Cadogan Hotel is housed in a traditional red brick Victorian building. The entrance is very discreet with a large wooden door framed by pillars and a Union Jack flag flying above. The small lobby, which consists of a tiny wooden reception desk and original mosaic flooring, creates a homely, intimate feel. Amplifying this warm ambience, the 69 medium sized guestrooms are decorated in a very traditional style with dark wooden furniture and floral fabrics. The en suite bathrooms vary in size but are well equipped with power showers. The hotel’s "Mes'Anges" restaurant is a luxurious brasserie-style establishment. Serving traditional English food, it features striking original glass chandeliers, round medallion velvet armchairs and intricate ceiling designs, accompanied by a Carrara marble Louis XIV fireplace. Guests at the Cadogan can also enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the private gardens on Cadogan Place opposite the hotel, one of London’s many private gardens.
